The Health & Rifle Club is an alt-rock/ dream pop band formed in Phoenix, AZ in 2019. Musically HRC seeks to create an atmospheric sensibility that was embraced by 80s new wave/post punk movements and the 90s alternative/shoe-gaze scene. Our initial EP released in October of 2019 was recorded and mixed by Jeff Tretta of Blue Exit Studios in Mesa, AZ and was mastered by Sara Carter of Music Mix Pro in the UK. At present the band is on hiatus. Andrew has went on to form Goodbye Ranger and tours the US while Eric and Brent push forward as Details of Eating. Palmer occasionally assists Sin Armas on drums and guitar for a studio project. HRC anticipate a reunion and new material, possibly under a new moniker in 2024. Or, as soon as Eric gets the heavies out of his system and carves out more time Palmer’s sophomoric antics to recreate the unique and melodic collaboration that is the magic of HRC. Or not.
